When I think of summer I think of beaches, warm weather, ice cream and bright colors. Typically, I stray away from bright colors in my wardrobe and lean more towards minimalistic looks during the fall and winter seasons, so come spring and summer I love to throw in a pop of color or two.
Some of my favorite colors for summer are salmon, coral and peach – the perfect combos between pink and orange. Adding a pop of peach to your outfit is one way to introduce color or bright colors slowly into your look, especially if you focus more on minimal or neutral monochromatic looks. It’s not too bright, like hot pink or orange, it’s the perfect mix, a comfortable in-between – which is why I love this Jade One Shoulder Ribbed Bodysuit from Tobi.
I also used to love sporting crop tops with high-waisted anything, and trust me I still do, but there’s something about off the shoulder or one shoulder pieces that really get me, like the bodysuit that I’m sporting in this post. Mostly, I love how the fabric flutters off the shoulders and creates a new texture all on its own. It basically takes your outfit to another level. For example, I could have thrown on a t-shirt with my high-waisted jeans and called it a day or I could have worn a basic body-suit with them, but it wouldn’t really have the same look and feel.
The easiest way to transition a bodysuit into your favorite denim pants is to pair your outfit with a super cute belt. Lately, I’ve been loving the vintage vibes that the Think Again Skinny Belt gives off. The feminine ruffles of the bodysuit and the edgy vintage belt make the look come together for a fun summer-y outfit that’s perfect for hanging out with friends and exploring the town.
