Less than 24 hours in NYC

Less than 24 hours in NYC

Have less than 24 hours in NYC? Here’s how we made the best of our trip to the big apple.

Where to stay?

The Arlo Nomad hotel seriously has the best views, clean, updated rooms and is just a 10 minute walk from fifth ave and the empire state building. If you want to save money and don’t opt for a “city view” room, don’t worry - you can still go up to their rooftop lounge starting from 9 am till evening and enjoy a 360 view of the concrete jungle.

Clayton and I went up to take in the views at around 9 am and we were the only ones there. The point? Get up early and get there early if you want to enjoy some alone time on the rooftop and get all of the good photos.

A major plus to the hotel was the scent upon entering - sandalwood greets you as soon as you open the large front doors. You can even purchase this scent at the front desk or order it online. Since we were just starting our trip, we didn’t want to carry around extras with us, so we ordered online and I cannot wait to start using this scent in our home!

Where to eat?

We were, of course, craving some New York style pizza, so we turned to one of our close friends who lives and works in NYC for the best spot close to our hotel so we could eat and head to the airport right after. He recommended “Rubirosa”, a quaint Italian restaurant in little italy, and it was just a subway ride away.
